How Nov. 8 Could Be the Most Important Day in Ripple’s History
Dubai is preparing for the Ripple Swell 2023 event scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9. But why are expectations higher than ever for this event?
Ripple experts and community members are speculating intensely. Let’s take a look at the most important predictions and speculations.
Possible Announcement of IPO and License During Ripple Swell Event
There have been constant rumors about Ripple possibly announcing an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Despite previous legal difficulties, the conference could be very interesting. The recent recruitment announcement for the position of senior shareholder communications manager reinforces this idea.

Rumor also has it that Ripple’s application for a Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) license in the United Arab Emirates could be on the cards. Given that Henson Orser, CEO of VARA, was present at the event and Ripple’s recent moves in Dubai, it is possible that an official announcement will happen.

This year’s SWELL may be very significant. Don’t know what might be announced, but there are possibilities:
IPO
VARA license
CBDC
Stablecoin/tokenization
New users(!) – after a year of silence, we may gain more detail if #Ripple still considers itself primarily a payment company.
CBDC and Settlement With SEC
Central banks around the world are increasingly focusing on digital currencies. Ripple can play a key role in this matter. It will be interesting to see what insights and possible partnerships Ripple reveals during the Swell event.
Another prediction is a possible settlement between Ripple and the SEC. Perhaps we will also receive some important announcements regarding this matter.
Even though the Ripple Swell event was not particularly advertised, announcements during the event can have a significant impact on the price of XRP. As of writing, XRP is trading at $0.604355, down by 0.31% in the past 24 hours.
